Lunch in Turlock

Jane invited us to lunch today at her house. We were there to meet Linda, a professor from Washington who teaches at Washington State. It was a very enjoyable day; great food; see the beautiful salad below.
We also had some pasta which was very nice. Here are some of us sitting around the table.
Later we sat on the patio and had delicious dessert. Here is Jane by a rose bush. It's a little fuzzy. My battery was too low.
We had a wonderful afternoon.

Lorraine, the thrill and excitement of meeting you and your sister after so many years of knowing about you but having never met still has me glowing inside. You are very dear and loving. I enjoyed every minute. Thank you for coming and for taking the pictures. You have done so much, spending hundreds of hours compiling the history and memories of the early settlers of the Winton community. We all owe you much gratitude. The fabulous heavy volumed book filled with so many treasured photos of the early settlers in the Winton Community has brought so much pleasure to hundreds. Yours and Rosalie's devotion to preserving the memories of the many fine families who settled in this areas is heart warming and I take great pleasure and pride in knowing you two fine ladies. You have endeared yourselves in the hearts of many.
Fondly,
Jane E Koehn Giesbrecht
